Brief description of the property:
Couchant is an 'upside down' house, with the main living area on the upper floor. There is a large living/dining area with comfy sofas and a large oak dining table, along with satellite tv and dvd. The well-equipped kitchen has large fridge/freezer, washing machine, cooker and microwave. There is a very spacious to the upstairs with spectacular beams leading into the high roof space. French doors lead out on the terrace with patio furniture and barbeque, shaded by walnut, mulberry and fig trees - pick your own breakfast in late summer!
Downstairs are a double and twin bedrooms, which stay delightfully cool in the summer. There is also a bath/shower/wc and a shower/wc. Up a second staircase is the third twin room, much loved by children for being slightly 'out of the way' (and yet still within earshot!) |

Brief description of the resort:
Faysselle is on the side of a sunny valley, in a peaceful and picturesque setting. Surrounded by fields and woodland, with pretty views across the valley and open fields towards an 11th century church, we are away from the road and any traffic.
Guests are welcome to wander down the track, past a spring and pond inhabited by fish, frogs and newts, and down to the stream at the bottom of the valley.
In summer, the field is a mass of colourful wild flowers, including several species of orchid.
For nature lovers, this is the place to enjoy the glorious scenery whilst spotting a variety of birdlife including buzzards, short-toed eagles, golden oriole, hoopoes, and maybe even spot a shy deer or wild boar.

Wonderful local markets, including a several night markets during the summer season. In St Maurin, our local village, you can try local food and wine whilst enjoying the atmosphere and character in the historic village square.
Bastide villages, vineyards, variety of sports, theme park and water park all available in the local area, plus much, much more. Something for all the family!
We are handily situated for both Toulouse and Bergerac airport. By road, 980km from Calais or 750km from St Malo.
Excellent train (TGV) service from Lille and Paris, connecting via Eurostar.
